aviacinė patranka statusas T sritis Gynyba apibrėžtis Patranka, įtaisyta orlaivyje. Būna vienvamzdė ir kelių (2–7) vamzdžių. Vienvamzdės ir dvivamzdės patrankos gali būti paprastosios arba revolverinės (būgninės). Daugiavamzdės patrankos jungiamos į bloką, kuris šaudant sukasi nejudriame gaubtuve (per vieną sūkį paeiliui iššaunama iš kiekvieno vamzdžio). Aviacinės patrankos būna automatinės, jų kalibras 20–45 mm, veiksmingojo šaudymo nuotolis 2000–2500 m. Šiuolaikinių aviacinių patrankų pavyzdžiai: JAV 20 mm aviacinė patranka „Vulcan“ (greitašauda 6000 šūvių/min); D. Britanijos 25 mm aviacinė patranka „Aden“ (1 850 šūvių/min); Vokietijos 27 mm aviacinė patranka „Mauser“ (1000–2000 šūvių/min); Rusijos šešiavamzdė 23 mm aviacinė patranka GŠ-6-23 (9000 šūvių/min), 30 mm šešiavamzdė aviacinė patranka GŠ-6-30 (5000 šūvių/min) ir kt. atitikmenys: angl. aircraft gun rus. авиационная пушка
